Tuesday’s Tip of the Week, another quickie, revitalizing your soggy leafy greens
I’ve just recently come across this piece of information and have used it during a dinner for some friends and so can totally vouch for it. If you’ve got some leafy greens, like lettuce or baby spinach etc. that have been sitting in the fridge drawer for a couple of days and aren’t looking too hot, simply soak them in a bowl of ice water for 15-20 minutes and they’ll regain their crispness. Naturally, this doesn’t work for stuff that’s actually gone bad, but generally to return most of your greens’ crispness, this here should do the trick.
