Tuesday’s Tip of the Week, Alternative uses for kitchen utensils

So been looking for an idea for a post that I could re-visit and update whenever I found something to add to it. And I thought this here would be a good start. We’re always finding new ways of using old stuff, and here I’d like to share with you interesting ways you can utilize some utensils you’ve probably had in your drawer for a while.

The most useful one, and easiest one really is using a potato peeler to shave cheese. If you want those restaurant-like parmesan shavings on your salad, there’s no easier way than using a potato peeler

Then there’s one I read about this morning, use those weird egg slicers to uniformly slice mushrooms.

I guess that’s it for now, but I’ll keep updating here everytime I come across something interesting.

Update:

Just saw this totally brilliant video of using a small plastic water bottle to separate egg yolks from egg whites! I’ll def. be using this from now on.
